Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player won his first title for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, managing just one win at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Presently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents his initial title following the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from spring of that year.
The win also indicates he has won 21 titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters at once, so to get a championship is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in that event earlier this year.
His retrieving play style and regular reactions on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his capacity to compete at the elite level was finished.
But the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an improved service.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to create a decider.
Moutet defended 4 early-game break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he clinched victory with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
